What is Tilt Shift Photography ?
This is the realm of photography that involves tilting the lens with respect to the picture plain and taking photos in that configuration. “Tilt-shift” actually has two movements: the rotation of the lens, called Tilt and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, the Shift.

Know It Better : What and why of a lenses Angle of view

The angle-of-view is how wide an area is seen by a given lens.
Angle-of-view is determined by two factors, the focal length of the lens, and the area of light sensitive material used to capture your image. That means, when your lens becomes longer the angle of view is reducing and the final image will contain lesser area of the image plain. This is what gives the effect of zooming in or enlarging what is being seen to a particular area of interest.

As a general case when the focal length …

Large aperture = Small DOF
Small Fstop  = Small DOF
So what does that mean when u are using say 2.8 Fstop on your macro lens the depth that will be in focus will be less than when using say 4. I would like to look at depth of field as the volume in focus. Remember that the DOF extends …

Auto Focus Sytem

Whats and hows of the Monopod

Monopods are devices used by photographers to stabilize the camera. When shooting in low light condition the cameras shutter needs to be kept open for a longer period of time. When this period of time is long enough for motion to happen the motion will come on the photo thus taken. This motion some times is a useful element in the photograph but mostly it is unwanted. This motion is referred to as blur. The motion can be due to two reasons, one being that the people or object being …
