Version 2.6 of the Linux kernel was released in late 2003 and since then the developers have stuck with the 2.6.x.y version numbering. For now its being called Fennec,  currently it is only available to Nokia N800 and N810 users. Fennec has a full-screen mode that provides the entirety of the screen for your browsing pleasure like in Opera.
